Daizen Maeda will be available to play in Celtic's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich on Wednesday night after having his suspension reduced.

Celtic appealed UEFA's two-match ban after the Japanese forward was sent off in the 1-0 win over BSC Young Boys last month.

The 27-year-old was shown a red card in stoppage time for a kick out at an opposition player, not long after Brendan Rodgers' men took a late lead thanks to a Loris Benito own goal.

In a statement posted on X, the club said: "Celtic FC tonight confirmed that it has successfully appealed Daizen Maeda's two match suspension.

"The original suspension has been reduced to one match, meaning Daizen is available to play on Wednesday at Celtic Park."
